In addition, we offer sheet metal design, fabrication and installation. Occasionally we are asked to review complicated mechanical system challenges for clients out of our traditional commercial customer base. We refer to these as “Special Projects”. Philadelphia Housing Authority Underground Steam Piping Leaks
Wilson Park Apartments - 2500 Jackson Street, Philadelphia, PA
Location of steam leaks on 6” underground piping on a site with 4 high rise buildings separated by two parking lots and a courtyard.
We provided ultrasonic leak detection devices to provide locations of piping and heat loss areas where steam could be leaking causing energy loss.
Leak detection was provided to the exact area for repair. Lor-Mar provided excavation, demolition of leaking pipe, fabrication, and installation of new piping to make the necessary repairs. The customers energy costs have returned to previous rates.
